Even though we were not using this venue for the wedding, Meredith was wonderful in running through a rehearsal for the wedding party without knowing the venue set-up. She was excellent with the children in the wedding party! It is a beautiful venue both inside and out, elegant yet comfortable at the same time!

We spent about a year looking at venues in this area and choosing this venue was one of the absolute best decisions we made. From the very beginning, they made... read more us feel so welcome and taken care of. The entire process was so much easier thanks to their clear communication, transparent pricing, and incredible in-house catering (which was actually super affordable compared to other places we looked at!).
Our coordinator Veronica went above and beyond in every way—she handled the little details that made our day feel truly magical. The team decorated the staircase and railing (without us even asking!) and matched it to our wedding colors. They gave us access to anything in their storage closet—bubble cups, sparklers, you name it.
And then the real magic happened: during our exit, they literally surprised us with fireworks—something we didn’t ask for or pay for, just a beautiful, unexpected gift that blew us (and our guests) away. I’m still emotional thinking about it.
They also handled our rain plan like pros. The morning of our wedding, there was a flash flood—but they kept chairs dry and ready to go, and as soon as the sun came out, we were able to have our ceremony outside just like we dreamed.
You can tell this venue is constantly improving—like the covered patio they added just in case of weather. Everything was so thoughtful, beautiful, and well-executed. Out of all the venues we toured, we feel so blessed we chose this one.

I cannot say enough great things about the Thistlewood team. My wife and I knew we wanted something on the moodier side and less traditional. From start to finish our... read more wedding coordination was handled by Veronica. She accommodated our darker color palette and vampire theming, going above and beyond to make the details throughout the day feel beautiful and on theme. She created custom signage, beautiful tablescaping, and day of coordination that really pulled everything together. A true professional in her field, she added on details I hadn’t even considered that guest really enjoyed.
A few days before our wedding, the weather was forecasted to be rainy and it completely stressed us out since we were planning on doing an outdoor ceremony. I am honestly so glad we had Veronica and Violet handling our day of coordination. The two had created a rainy day plan that moved our ceremony indoors, and were able to pivot so the event still looked and felt elegant despite the last minute change. The moody velvet drapery, the blood stones hanging over centerpieces, and the countless black roses were all touches Veronica and Violet added throughout the venue without being prompted, just because they knew it would pull the vision together. The ladies even took extra care when setting up our memorial table and handled family photos and heirlooms with dignity.
We opted to do catering in house, and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. Chef Santino, Harlan, and Tommy took care of us brides and our brides maids with breakfast on site and elaborate meals for our guest in the evening. Our catering package included a carving table, and it was a huge hit with our guest throughout dinner service. Wait staff Olivia, Nalleli, and Taylor were very mindful of guests food allergies, and accommodate our various nuts, gluten, and dairy free needs without any trouble. It was so nice to have those alternative options available without feeling like we were pulling teeth for needing those substitutions. The last thing i wanted to worry about was someone accidentally eating something that would make them sick.
Our alcohol package included signature cocktails and mocktails that Kendalin and Dana handled beautifully. Even the cocktails were on theme with iconic vampire names and glitter details. We were really glad that they were able to accommodate imported soju onto the drink menu.
Our queer wedding was a labor of love, and the staff really showed out. It really felt like the only thing I had to do on the day of was show up. So many of the meticulous details were handled in staff by the admin team, and everyone worked with and around each other to make it happen.

Thistlewood Manor & Garden was the perfect venue! We got engaged in November of 2024 and Married at Thistlewood in November of 2025! We signed a contract on our first... read more walk through in January 2025 and it was the best decision ever! Thistlewood has great people that ask all the right questions that we wouldn't have thought of. What made them stand out to us was how upfront and honest they were regarding costs and their packages. Not only did they offer a wide range of choices but their priority was my husband and I. Other venues we viewed were nearly three times the cost of Thistlewood but offered not even half of the services provided or nearly as beautiful. For what we paid for a full day at Thistlewood would have been a partial payment for a few hours at other non inclusive venues. They made it possible to not only plan the wedding in 10 months but to perfect it! If there was a mix up on communications they fixed it immediately.
Thistlewood offered amazing options for vendors that they recommended, most notable of these was our wedding coordinator. Who, might I add, was fantastic in all communications with the venue and other vendors.
The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. The food provided by their on site kitchen staff was some of the best food we have ever had. Not to mention the sheer variety of options related to food AND their attentiveness to allergies and dietary restrictions of guests.
The guest loved it so much, many said they had not been to a wedding as nice as ours in a long time. Friends our age said Thistlewood set the bar for what a wedding should be and we couldn't agree more. We have not had a single negative thing said about the venue, only praise.
Thistlewood is the best wedding venue for your wedding from price to the nearly all inclusive packages!

We just had our wedding and... read more rehearsal dinner here in November and everything ran so smoothly. Ginny and her staff ensured that everything was in order for our wedding day. Even with a last minute change of plans due to weather, Ginny was easy to work with and accommodate to our needs. She also cooked an amazing dinner! Her staff was quick to clean up and assist guests. If you’re interested in trying the menu beforehand, she offers tastings. The venue provides all the chairs, tables, linens, napkins, plates, glasses, and silverware. They also have a closet of decor items you can borrow for your event! Having all these items at the venue helped reduce the cost of renting/buying from another vendor. We appreciate everything Ginny and her staff did to make our day run so smoothly!
